Plogue releases Alter/Ego, a new freeware voice synthesizer plugin available as VST, AU, RTAS/AAX plugin and even as a standalone software for both Windows and MAC users. Alter/Ego synth is based on Plogue’s Chipspeech platform, but instead of targeting Vintage voice technology, it focuses on more ‘modern’ singing synthesis algorithms and research.

Bones is a masculine vocal and replaced Daisy as the default vocal for the Alter/Ego software. It should be used with Alter/ego engine 1.505+. The voicebank is free to download from the Alter/Ego webpage, however there is a physical copy for 20 USD. It is both Microsoft Windows and MacOS compatible.
